Our Baby Boy

Aaron and I are making it through our first morning without our baby boy. My mom was able to get the pictures she took uploaded so we've spent the morning looking at them and being comforted. We won't lie, today is worse than yesterday, realizing that we will be going home soon alone without Noah. Without him for the first time in 9 months. And that is so so hard. But looking at these pictures, we know that he will always be with us, and that he has changed us for the better in so many ways. Right now we want to share a couple of photos with you. After we are able to get all of our pictures together, we will share them with you.

Noah was already mischievous like his daddy. He was blowing spit bubbles at his grandma. Also like a typical boy, he managed to pee on the nurses when they changed his diaper. I had to laugh when they told me about that.

Noah sleeping in his daddy's arms, this is one of my favorite pictures.

  9. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I am a mother of a beautiful baby boy named Benjamin. He has OI type 2 and 3. He has been a fighter most of his little life. I just want you both to know that words cannot tell you the grief I truly feel for you both. Such tremendous heart ache...my heart feels so heavy today for you both. Your blog....I can't tell you how my experience from pregnancy to delivery was so much alike....the feelings, frustration, hope, and even the prayer list~truly alike. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures. You all will be in my heart forever ~

  10. I've been praying for you today. I was so lonely in the hospital without my baby, it was a sad relief to go home and be away from the sounds. I will continue to pray for your peace. You are glorifying the Lord in this grieving, and Noah's life, which honored Him from the beginning, is continuing to do so by the way you two are processing this in honesty and faith. One thing that helps me so much in keeping our daughter's story one that will glorify God is knowing that of all the things I want to do as a mother, none is so important as helping my children come into a personal relationship with the Lord. You have the assurance that Noah has already achieved this in a way we who long for home are all stiill waiting to do. I'm praying for you. Jessica (an OI mom)
